Friends need info. on Tires for our 99 Coach. Im not a Michalin Fan. Having a lighter Allure the prev. owner installed G670 RV Tires on our coach. Threads have been posted many times on Cupping of the Goodyears! I got a Quote on Goodyear G165's and Hancock tires! Hancock has a good place on School Bus useage. Since we travel less them 6k miles per year Im lookin at these tires. At the moment being forced to Buy the Goodyear G165 tires for our left rear this summer with a little more then 3k miles returning back to our nest in Yuma AZ. They seem to have held up well. The kid at Percell tire a Goodyear dealer here in Yuma said its a Steer/Drive tire. Any help would be great on tires. Im inpressed with Hancock's numbers as price and speck's. look great. Both are 19 ply. Im staying away from G670's! Feel free to e-mail me off line! Thanks. Ken 99 Allure 30356.

You didn't mention what size you had/ My 36' 98 Allure with Kitchen slide Had 275R70/22,5 Toyos that gave me all sorts of headaches. So I stepped up to 275 R80/22.5 Continentals. For the next three years before I bought my current Intrigue had no issues. I was able to drop my tire pressures 10 to 15 lbs, my fuel milage increased because I could drop my RPMs about 150 rpm as I remember from 1850 to 1700 rpm. Because at the same time I had the dual ride height valves moved from the front to the rear and the single to the front, I also believe this helped remove the dynamic roll moment of the chassis from the front tires to the duals, reducing weight on the overly stressed left front tire, which were failing hand over fist on CC Allure and Intrigues, especially on 40' coaches. Ken,

You should nevertheless consider Michelin's through FMCA's Michelin Advantage Program, a national fleet discount program for FMCA members. Go to FMCA's website for information (if perchance you are not a member, the tire savings will more than pay for your dues). See my note #74258 where I posted details of my experience. I replaced OEM Toyo's with XZA2's and dramatically improved my driving experience. Most dealers are not familiar with the program so you have to lead them through it, but it is well worth the effort.

Sorry the New tires on the rear driverside are 275/70R225 G165. Like you another CC Friend on his 2000 40 foot Allure put on R80's series and with the same results you have. Being I only drive the coach part time less then 6k per year Im looking to relpace the last four tires with the same Goodyear G 165's. You get stuck on Coachnet roadside service You know. Thanks for sharing. I had a 2007 plackard updated from CC and the rears have been raised to Load Rating of J. The tire guy said stay with H as whats on our coach when the prev. owner put on Goodyear G670 RV tires. FYI. Ken 99 Allure 30356.
