Bill, the batteries you are equalizing are not going to see more that about 15 Volts, and that is not enough to burn any device out. I have had inverters since 1992 ( when they were square waves ) and have not had trouble with any 12V device, when equalizing the house batteries

Before you start the "equalizing" process...
The batteries should be fully charged...
Don't top off the cells before equalizing, and leave the caps on the batteries... put an old towel over the caps to keep the electrolyte from splattering if the cells bubble...
The batteries will give off explosive gasses while equalizing... Make sure they are properly ventilated...
The 16+ volts available during the equalizing process can damage your 12 volt appliances and/or other circuits...
ALL D.C. loads on the batteries should be removed before equalizing.
Turn off the "House Battery Disconnect Switch", disconnect the Echo Charger by removing the fuse in the 12V+ line...
On older coaches, it is a good idea to limit the amperage available to the batteries by setting the "Power Sharing" to 5 amps while equalizing...
