For those that have attended it, trying to find out what RV Park or place you stayed at and a rating for the park.
There is an area right on the grounds, but I just looking for alternate places.
Also need to know how far away from the balloon area it is. thanks a lot for your info.

Dave;
I just came from the Balloon Fiesta and stayed at the KOA in town (east side of town). I stayed there because I made my decision late to go and everything else was full. Other than the fact that they jacked the price up by $20-$30 (I paid $77 with the KOA discount), it was a nice, well kept park. If you can get a site on the south side of the park, you will be farther away from I-40, which is pretty noisy. It has a pool, hot tub, dog run area, etc. and paved roads, so the dust problem isn't so bad. All in all, I found it very adequate.
Don't have any info re other sites in or around Albuquerque.

We've stayed at the park numerous times and if you can find a site west of the Laundry room you can save another 10 to 15%. I much prefer to stay at the Isleta Indian Reservation park South of town, which I admit is far from the Ballon park or at one of the two parks near Bernalillo, a KOA and a private park. All of them are over priced for Labor day, Memorial Day, the 4th, and the Balloon Festival. There's a Camp ground out West of town on the Mesa across from the Camping world, that used to be nice but haven't stayed their in years.

We just left there and were staying at American RV Resort. Just off I-40 West.. Very Nice park. Full amenities and great people. Baths and showers were outstanding. Prices were reasonable too.

Yes, American is our choice as well. KOA East is in a questionable neighborhood, aside from their high prices. CoriwelshIntrigue12314DurangoSent from Yahoo Mail for iPhone From:

Dave,
You might consider The President's Compound (http://www.balloonfiesta.com/guest-guide/rv-information). $150.00 per night which includes 4 tickets and the best seats in the house on the bluff overlooking the launch field. Free shuttle rides up and down the hill between the "compound" and launch area.
I called for reservations on Jan. 3 and was put on the "standby list," where we waited 'til July before finally getting a space.
