I have a Cummings 350 and I want to know why the Sauerdanfus sensor for the fan control in the air tube goes bad every year. Any suggestions to fix this it seems the wires rust off in the center of sensor.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This must be a 2000 model problem since that is the only year I have heard repeated problems with the sensor. Two friends and I have 99 Intrigues and have never had the problem.

Is your sensor mounted on the bottom side of the air tube, if so that is probably your problem. All condensation in the air tube settles down into the cup-like sensor. If you had the sensor relocated so that it is on top or at least on the upper half of the air tube, your problem might o away. At least that was the suggestion of a Cummins tech.
