I am not Mr. Mechanic, but I would like to know if there is a written set of steps for replacing a sheered slide bolt for the four different slides on our 2005 Inspire.
If anyone know where to purchase the procedure, I would be most appreciative. If after looking at the procedure I may chicken out and not try, but the worst thing would be to screw it up and then call my mobile mechanic.

Stan;
I have attached the procedures that I made for adjusting the front drivers slide plus the official procedures which do not cover everything.

Bob,
Thank You ,
I really appreciate what you sent. I realize that my frequent bolt sheering is a result of alignment. I think I can try and fix using the procedures you have supplied.
Thank You

Stan,
My coach started shearing bolts at about 3 years of age and it was associated with lots of creaks and squeaks when the front slides were extended. Spraying lubricant on the support tubes, the racks and the gears silenced the squeaks and reduced the frequency of breakage of the shear bolts. I believe the instructions for the slides call for no lubrication but this makes no sense to me.
I have experienced the front and rear of the drivers front slide getting out of alignment by about ΒΌ inch. You should check this carefully because it puts a lot of stress on the slide when it is retracted.
