Roger,

On my 01 Affinity, I open the exterior panel covering the water heater, and remove the plastic screw in plug that is at the bottom of the heater.
That removed, and an open a hot water tap in the coach, lets the water flow out of the water heater on to the ground.

Luck,
Bob

I forgot to say my coach is all electric and does not have an external panel.
Maybe it is in the water tank bay?
