Howdy all,
Just wanted to say thanks to all who replied for all the great info.
I will get the windshield examined and repaired, and report on the results.
Again, thanks all

Had the ride height and leveling system adjusted a week ago in Florida. Now in Cincinnati and having a problem with the leveling. At rest the MH is sitting with the driver side and the front down from level. It will auto level, but in 1 hour, almost to the minute, the front bags exhaust and drop the coach out of level. The back does not seem to dump all the way. The action of the leveling has caused the windshields to pop-out of the gasket. At first only the driver side came out at the upper outside corner. The next time the passenger side inside lower corner came out. Called a glass company when only the driver side was out, but now concerned that the problem will recur if the leveling is not stable. Anyone had this experience? Herb 2001 CC Affinity #6012

Herb,
What service facility is Florida did you use to make the ride height adjustment?

Hi Herb,
Can't speak to the leveling problem, but hold on to your hat for the windshield report.
My 01 Affinity windshield came out, first bottom passenger side, then top driver side. Glass company pushed it back in and it stayed for a while. But just kept happening.
Took it over to Premiere Motor coach service in Tucson, and Eric Olstrum (former CC Tech and all round great guy)and Coach Glass (down from Phoenix) took both sides of the windshield out and did a big bunch of measuring etc etc and compared all the measurements to the original CC specifications and requirements. Both the window openings and all the coach front end and chassis measurements were required to diagnose what he and I already knew. The 01 ( and probably others) have a known windshield problem. Maybe not all of them but he has done several in the last couple years.
Anyhow, requires rebuilding / trimming etc etc the front cap fiberglass of the coach, and a bunch of other piece parts, and it's only about 6K dollars.
The problem is not the flexing of the coach, that just starts the process into motion. It is the front cap that is the problem with the windshield.
By the way, while I was there, Premiere Motor coach service checked and adjusted my ride height, and replaced all the worn ride height hardware and one bad ride height valve.
Luck,
Bob

I think you defined my situation, spot on. Had the glass company try to reset the windshields, but they could not get either of them to reseat in the rubber molding, properly. Parting words were good luck, it might hold. I don't know of any facilities in the Cincinnati area that get that involved with this type of Rv repair? Hope I find one closer than Arizona or Oregon.

Assuming you do not have structural problems, it is usually the fiberglass lip under the cap that is off. Call Kent Budish at Artistic Elegance in Tucson. 520-237-7985. He fixed mine two years ago by reglassing the lip.

Try Xtreme Graphics in Nacogdoches TX. They worked on a CC while we were there with brother-in-law having his Foretravel repainted and back doors redone. They do great work. James Stallings is owner.
