looking to get atrailer for both my jeep and Harley. With trailer and stuff @ 10,000 lbs. My hitch says 10,000 gross trailer weight. But the tongue weight states 600lbs. I thought normal tongue was 10% of gross. I believe the coach will tow trailer, Any help why tongue so low. May have to change plans. Was hoping to retire with bike.

Thanks

You will need to have your present hitch beefed up by a very good experienced shop. I tow just under #10,000 without issue, after our hitch was beefed up. The coach power train will handle it will. Make sure you have brakes on all 4 trailer wheels and good control system. This is the control I use and like.

Interesting, I also called CC to get info on the hitch. I bought the coach through them in July. Tech support to understand low tongue weight. Got transfer to a pay extension, just 25.00 to ask a question on design. I guess I'll have to find another source from now on. Sure glad we have this forum for help and support. Thanks everyone for everyones support to each other.

If you use a Weight Distribution Hitch you should be able to double the tongue weight. Used them for years and they really to help. You can check some out here;
