I am in the market to purchase a compressor. I would like to have the ability to inflate my tires to 115 pounds . Does anyone have a recommendation.
I have gone to Home Depot and they have a Porter Cable 984-109 and Husky 284-008. Will one of these meet my needs.

Jan ,

Thank You, I never thought of that.I will follow up. That would be much cheaper than the purchase of a compressor.

Once again Thank You

I use an air pressure doubler, from Bob Dickmans Les Schwab in Junction City Oregon. If fits in my hand weighs 4 or 5lbs. You plug it into your air receptacles and then connect a filler hose. It will take a 12R or a 295 tire from 90 to 120 lbs in less than 4

I have the Dickman doubler and I fabricated a permanent mount for it in the compartment below the driver. It does the job and it very convenient and out of the way.

Stan,

I had a more compact compressor from Home Depot. It did not do the job. I took it back and I purchased the: Home Depot Husky SKU 284008, Model # H1504 ST
1.5 HP, 155 PSI max, 2.8SCFM @ 90 PSI., 2 year mfr war.
Yes! It does the job for me. 120 PSI easy. Fits nicely into one of my bays. Has wheels and a handy, pull-up handle. I have been using it for about a year. A little noisy but, no problem.
I like it, especially when you consider the $169 price tag.
I looked at the compressors at Harbor Freight, Lowes and other stores. Nothing compared at this price. I considered the one from Less Schwab but I wanted to be able to do other jobs that required the tank volume and other specs that this one offers.
Good luck in your search.

I would like to see some statistics on the "air doubler" and read more about how well it works, especially speed in airing large tires. I have heard both sides. One person said it works well and is fast, another person says it is slower than anything. Maybe Les Schwab needs to have demos at their dealerships, or perhaps they could post a video and show us what it can do.
Kevin, you are in Junction City. Would you consider contacting them on behalf of this forum?

I took the Vair compressor and tank that I had previously installed in my F350 that was used for air bag suspension and air horns and mounted that between the headlights inside the generator slide. It does the job very efficiently Not the cheapest way but works for me and when not being used it is out of the way

This is the website to Power Tank: http://powertank.com/products/sfID1/11 I've seen it in action; 120lbs CO2 in your RV tire in 30 seconds!

Just make sure you get a 150# compressor. I made the mistake of buying a 125# unit and trying to get 105# to 110# takes forever.
