We had a mishap with the Corian counter top cover the cooktop; drooped it and chipped a large piece off the side. I called several places in Mesa, Az, but no luck with a response. Does anyone know if this can be repaired or do we need a whole new piece? thanks, Roger Harper

Look under counter top sellers, installers and repair and also cabinet makers. We found a cabinet shop in Tampa FL that repaired a crack in ours. You can't even tell it was there.

Roger,

We had about a 3/4" chip on the side edge of Corian range cover. A tech at Holland Motor Homes, San Diego offered this low cost clever solution. It might work for you depending on the size and location of your chip.
He made a small half moon shaped radius cut-out in the location of the chip. Then, he made another cut-out on the other side to match. No one has ever questioned why they are there as they look like factory "finger holes" to use as an aid in lifting off the cover. It is also very convenient and we have a good grip so, it is less apt to slip out of our hands.
