Need recommendations for RV parks on the west side of Yosemite National Park. Of course, we want the best of both worlds; nice park for 40' coach and relatively short drive to the park. . .plan to visit 2 or 3 days.

Thanks, Jim 10613

If you are thinking of the South Gate entrance point off of 41, then you might look into KOA park, or consider checking in with Park of the Sierras (Escapees KOOP), to see if you can visit to check out their park. (We're members and have a spot in this park, but I can't remember if they allow non Escapees to visit to look things over. GREAT PARK, very unique.) Also some parks by Barth Lake.
The South Gate gets you a North or South decision as you enter the park, South towards the Sequoias Grant Grove. North to drive down into the valley.
If you come in from the North Gate (not sure if that is what it is called), we've stayed on the river in the 1,000's Trails park.
Last tip, as I know many other parks exists, is to check out RV Park Review site.

Best of luck, and have a good trip! Smitty
