Hi:

I have a 2007, Allure 470. I shut it down and the back up camera was work. Next time I tried it did not work. Any ideas?

Hi Bob,

This is not any help, but, we have had to replace our camera twice in the 5 years we have owned the coach. The power is apparently always on and burned them out. We put in a power cut off switch under the dash and this last one has lasted 2 1/2 years. A record for us :-(

Bob,

As an initial check try pushing the cable plug under the dash shroud firmly into the receiving unit - We find ours can get loose enough at times to stop receiving the camera signal.
Good luck,

You may have already done this, but sometime I have to go into the settings and turn the Camera Back on, or set it up again.

My back up camera, a Panasonic VA 707 system had a similar problem a few weeks ago. I parked the RV for 2 weeks and it didn't work when I next started. After a lot of chasing wiring, I found and pulled the fuse to the camera, reinstalled and it came up working. 2 days later, it failed again with the same problem and solution. The problem turned out to be the connector was working loose back at the camera. It seems that pulling the fuse and reinstalling gave enough of a surge to make the poor connection work for a short time. Open the access panel at the camera and check the connection. It looks like a S video connection to a TV. Pull it apart and reinstall and hopefully that will solve your problem. If the connection had seperated a bit, take the cable and make a loop so that the connector doesn't hang. Use a cable tie or tape to hold it.
