Thanks

For those who are unable to open the attached.....here it is

Driver's side topper's:

Roger,

You will need a 6 foot ladder, Phillips screw driver and a friend to help you, another set of hands.

1. Front slide drivers side, move the slide (if it is out) in about 3 to 6 inches as you will need some slack in the awning.
A. If your slide is the configuration of ours, where the awning is part of the topper then you will need to have it out as well and then move it up about the same 3 to 6 inches.

2. Have your friend get up on the roof and proceed to the slide that you are going to remove the awning from. Have him remove the two screws on either end of the groove that holds the bead along the roof of your coach.
A. I would replace these screws with SS as the ones CC installed are zinc and just rust up.

3. Move your ladder to the opposite end of the awning roll (aft) and find the hole that the bead runs in. Try and center the hole in the roll (the best you can) where you will be pulling the awning from. Put the Phillips screw driver in the hole. This will prevent the roll from un-winding and loose all the tension.

4. Move your ladder back to the other end of the roll (forward) and begin pulling on the beads and center of the awning to remove it.
A. Have your buddy on the roof help pull the aft ends forward to help with the removal process.

This should do it, as it is not very difficult... This procedure should work for all the slides except the curbside forward slide. As this one being that it is under the large awning is of a different configuration. We had a professional come and remove it. But after watching him I think we could do it now.. But I would recommend that you have a professional do this one.
Hope this helps.... After we got the awnings back from Sew Masters we bought some scotch guard and re-did all the awnings before we put them back on. This will aid in the water proofing..

Good luck,
