The major reason email accounts get hacked is because of trivial passwords. Make sure your password includes upper and lower case letters, numbers AND punctuation. Example: "I ate today at Kentucky Fried Turkey." can be used to remember "I82d@KFT."
When your account gets hacked, I place it on moderation for a month.
