Thanks in advance for your responses. They are always helpful! I find the daily digest both entertaining and enlightening.
My driver-side kitchen slide on my 2000 Affinity B&B, 5801, has dropped on the rear (aft)lower corner so that the gap has become minimal. I noticed that a large nut, which appears to be a "locking nut" for an "allen head" screw/bolt was somewhat loose. I tightened it in hopes of preventing further movement downward.
My question is how to adjust the aft end of the slide up to match the forward side which is still in factory adjustment. Am I correct that the process is to loosen the "lock-nut" and turn the "allen head" screw counter-clockwise to raise the slide up on the support arm. If so, can this be done without an external means of physically raising the slide to relieve weight/pressure. Is this a do-it-yourself project or is it best left to a qualified shop?

I look forward to your advice.

I would suggest calling Butch Williams @ Fountian RV in Lakeland FL. I know they remodeled an Affinity for a customer about a year ago. Butch has over 20 years of CC experience. I'm sure he would be able to help. 888-264-6523 or 863-984-9764. I had them do slide work for me last year.
