Now experiencing yellow check engine light occasionally and only for a few seconds, from one or two to fifteen. Always goes off. No engine changes but I have noticed a lope developing when ideling. Silverleaf diagnosis says rear pump fault and then inactive. also shows sometimes a fuel pressure change and then goes inactive. Any ideas anyone please????

Ron & Molly,
It is likely your "Cummins Accumulator Pump System" known as CAPS. It is your High Pressure Fuel Pump. An Authorized Cummins Dealer can put your engine on the computer and bring up the codes.
I had my entire CAPS unit replaced through Cummins Warranty years ago and this last year had to replace the Injector Control Valve and Stator which is part of the CAPS unit. Be prepared for Big Bucks if you should need the entire CAPS unit its about $5,000.

I had a similar issue, but mine was caused by the accumulator section of the injection pump, which I had replaced. Close to $900 as I remember.

I had a similar problem after using a bio-bore fuel additive. The filters had collected all the contamination and after replacing the filters all was well. Skip 2002 Intrigue # 11329
