Stan, We're leaving from Florida the first week in July and are heading to some of the same states! Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Canada, Washington, Oregon and down the coast to San Onofre for Marine Corps Vietnam Vets annual reunion at Camp Pendleton the first week in October. I'll be watching this group for recommendations too! We know that we want to see Banff and Lake Louise, Glacier National Park and Yellowstone. We want to stop in Oregon and see where our CC was born! Please keep us posted on your itinerary.

Re: [Country-Coach-Owners] Re: If you have any suggestions on a trip we are going to takeDitto from us though our time will be limited. We hope to have time for Glacier as well as my dad's home town area of Grangeville, Idaho, my mom's of Riverton, WY, and other gorgeous western areas, so we'll be thrilled to see recommendations for those areas as well.

Stan, Lonny & Diane, Mike & Mary,
Below is my favorite circle trip. I think you can adapt most of it to your trip. Don't miss Utah. I started from Vancouver but you need to include Butchard Gardens and Victoria on Vancouver Is.

Stan,
I'll add two fun things we did on a few of trips to these states on your tour.
-Colorado - We went to two concerts in the same week at Red Rocks. Staying in Golden as our 'home base'. Such an incredible place, and we were super lucky as Allison Krause and Robert Plant together for our second concert. A light rain before the concert, with two rainbows over Denver. Then at the end of the concert, as they came back on stage for their last bow - we had a full moon over the skyline of Denver. Just a special night, and such a great place.
-Idaho - Hope Idaho, along the lake. Game preserve, and the small deer were like pigeons in parks. I recall one time, when I was pulling out the tray from one of the basements, I had three deers checking out what was in my tray... Me on one side, the three of them on the other side...
Go have a blast, be safe, and be careful in the Coors Tour in Golden - as you can have just a bit too much fun at the end of the tour!!! Smitty

Ok - I neglected to add two more:
-GROS VENTRE in Tetons, say Hi to the Moose! -Snake River raft tour, is an amazing float... We saw a black bear on this trip, swimming across the river. Chase this down with a late lunch, early dinner at the great lodge... Then walk it off the next day, at June Lake!!

One suggestion - for Idaho - check out this RV park. It is about 18 miles west of West Yellowstone.
http://www.8004redrock.com/ (http://www.8004redrock.com/)
The web site is the most comprehensive I have seen for an RV park. The pictures do not lie.
The park is not big and fancy but does give you much quiet and beautiful scenery . Check out
the Activities tab. You are close to Yellowstone and many other things to see and do.
Safe travels on your trip.

Part of the answer is to choose the time of the year when the water levels are right to reduce the effects of the rapids. Also, if you want a good and safe experience, float the upper Snake above the Jackson area and avoid the lower areas where the rapids are more pronounced. Jim2008 Tribute 26081138

Thanks so very much for the help and guidance., it's something I dream of doing but that fear of water holds me back from so much, but I am determined to do this, just want a safe and not scary experience.... Thanks so much again!!! What time of year would be calmest?? I will probably be there in around 2 weeksThks again!!Jan06 inspire davinci 51898 From:

Group,
Due to my total incompetence with electronic things I lost the message in this tread with the original travel recommendations.
Would someone please be kind enough to send a copy?
Many thanks,
