Our front/kitchen slideout rubber is folding over. It's the bottom one that is actually on the motorhome and not the slide. Not that there is one on the slide! About 18 inches of it has folded inwards and come off the 'ridge' that it should sit on. (A few inches has been like it for a number of years without problems but now more has jumped off the ridge it's meant to be on).
Question. Is this rubber 'essential' for operation or is it 'just' a seal issue? I'm worried it maybe dragged in and create an issue with getting the slide in.
We are about to put the motorhome in storage for up to six months and don't want the hassle of fixing it now.

Thanks.
