So, you spend $100 for groceries, and $120 for 30 gals of diesel, that comes to $220 and you save $3. That looks like a little less than 1.5 cents/gal. And the other side of the coin, if you fill your car with gas, it only takes 15 gals that's a $100 for groceries and $60 for gas, you save $1.50 on a total expenditure $160 which is less than a penny a gallon. To advertise a 10 cent per gallon savings on fuel sounds great but when you look at the numbers it's not all that good.
