Growing up in NY/NJ I developed a taste for sarcasm as expressed by cynics and satirists. A certain amount rubs off on you. Those from NJ might remember the Uncle Floyd Show and his bit called Ridiculous But Real where he poked fun at life's events. Humor is personal and this clearly isn't for everyone. Jeannie and I loved it!
Jeannie and I bailed out in favor of becoming F/T travelers and just passed the 4 year mark a couple of months ago. Needles to say it's been a fun time. We sold the old homestead and replaced it with the Bus-Stead and named the whole adventure the Bus-Stead Tour. If you say Bus-Stead fast it sound like busted, coined after the fact of dealing with a continuous stream of busted parts with seemly no end in sight. As for the lemon part, some may know this concept better as the Friday Coach. And it has been determined (in our case) we are living in a lemon owing to the frequency and nature of constantly failing parts. I guess some amount of humor helps diffuse the frustration of it all.
Here's to $3K radiators and $3.6K refrigerators (just to name a few) getting pitched into the dumpster. May better products and experiences be just around the next corner. In the meantime, I'll keep trying to squeeze out the lemon juice. I still can hear my Mother's words of wisdom, "Son - If you think it gets easier as you get older, think again!"

I loved your post. I am glad someone asked as I have often wondered about that tag while reading your many notes. My wife and I laughed out loud when I read it to her. I am glad to see that your sense of humor has not been reduced by your RV trials! Anyway, I agree with your Mom!

Glad you guys got a laugh out of it. Jeannie and I are enjoying the adventures. Been learning a ton in the process. It's interesting how a hands on experience breeds both education and appreciation. I continue to be both amazed and challenged by the F/T lifestyle. And how ignorant was I before it all began?? There are still many more things I can learn too. No problems with our sense of humor sustaining itself. My next oldest brother and I survived many dinner table experiences with the old man by being able to joke about things later. It that didn't squelch the humor nothing can now. My Mother learned the skill many years before we came on the scene.
I spoke to a professional comedian some years back and he said one of the most fundamental recipes for comedy is tragedy plus the passage of time.

He had lots of hobbies to include photography, developing and printing photos. Some of the old ones are classics! I fished out his old equipment from the attic when I was 13 and since have enjoyed the hobby. I'm glad I grew up when I did.
