Hi Coach Owners,

Current responses for Buskote range from excellent coating to why use it at all.
My application about five years ago is cracking and needs some type of reapplication without removing the coating. As mentioned in previous posts, Buskote appears to not provide any appreciable heat reduction. If I had to do it all over again, the sealer would have been a less costly effort in time and materials, to stop the roof streaking.
I did try some C-10 Flow Seal with Hypalon about a year ago, covering about two square feet, and it appears to be holding up with no aging. Its primary use is on rubber boats like Zodiac.

Fred,

I looked up Dicor C-10 Flow Seal. It is sold in tubes as a caulking material for application with a caulking gun. Is this the material that you are describing? How much area do you think a tube would cover? Did you thin it out? Daron Hairabedian, 98 Allure, 30226

I applied Buskote last summer and am pleased with the results. I had a small leak on my skylite and used the buskote tape and adhesive before applying the Buskote primer. Turned out great. I also painted my skylite because of the heat coming through. Looking out from within it appeared kind of streaky so I spray painted the inside of the skylite white. I would do it again.

Stan, When you reapply the Buskote. do you do the entire process over or paint on top of the sealer? Lost internet for 2 weeks so lost the string re Buskote

tom,

I have never used anything but the Bus Kote on the roof. The other two sealers etc. I never applied. I just use the Bus Kote every two years. I do High pressure the roof very carefully, dry for 24 hours, first coat after 24 hour drying, and 24 hours later the second coat if I feel it is needed.
