Has anyone driven their coach with tow car over Hwy 19 from near Oakridge, Oregon on Hwy 58 to near MacKenzie Bridge on Hwy 126? It cuts a lot of distance when going to the Black Butte area and not having to backtrack through Springfield on 58. Thinking of doing it tomorrow morning, but would like to hear from anyone who has done it. I know it is has a lot of curves, but worry about vertical clearances, etc.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

I would not take a large motorhome over that road until I drove it in a car first. Unhook in Oakridge and drive your toad first. That is a Forest Service road. Been on it once many, many years ago. Think it will be very slow with lots of elevation change. Seems every couple of years someone gets stuck in the snow and sometimes bad out comes. That brings up another point. That road stands a very good change of still being blocked by snow drifts in shady spots.

FYI. HWY 58 is closed at night Monday through Thursday. Tunnel work. Will be that way for some time.
