Hi all,

My rear roof A/C does not come on, only the fan comes on. I have the Duo Therm by Dometic Model 630516.321 . The Front A/C all functions work fine. Both Breakers are on.
I am not mechanically incline at this level so I will be needing to hire a local mechanic. Is there any diagnostic information that I could to pass on to help trouble shoot.

Thank you,

Could be anything from a thermal cutout, control board, compressor, etc. A good technician should be able to systematically troubleshoot the problem. Hope it is something simple.

It could be the start capacitor. That would be the easiestnand least expensive fix.

Michael ~ I had the same problem with my front AC.
Initially I was able to restart it by resetting the Duo-Therm (Turn off Duo-Therm; Press Mode/Zone same time, hold and while holding turn Duo-therm back on: Should get FF Signal: That means it is reset).
However, after a few weeks the same problem. Sometimes resetting would work and then eventually not at all.
I learned that if the Duo-Therm reset works, but it continues to fail, it can only be one of four things: 1. faulty motherboard; 2) faulty duo-therm; 3) bad fluorescent light ballast that interferes with the AC electronics & 4) a $30 Freeze Switch. Fortunately for me it turned out to be #4. Of course, the tech charged me $75 to figure that out!

Hope the resetting works for you.
