While we are on tires...
I am getting ready to replace the tires on my 2000 Magna. Has anyone replaced the 12R22.5's with 315/80R22.5 specifically on that era Magna? Have you had any issues associated with the change, i.e., clearance issues or spacing between the duals?
I located a set of 12R22.5 Michelin XZE* but want to look at the alternatives. I am considering the Michelin XZA2 Energy in the 310/80R22.5. It appears the XZA2 would have a similar load rating with about 10 lbs less air pressure.
Thanks,
Dan

At about 5 yrs (the first tire change). I changed the front steer tires to 315/80R22.5. There was no problem with turning clearance. I have almost 120k miles now.
With the upgrade I was able to run with lower tire pressure (110lbs verses 120lbs) for a softer ride. I still have 12R22.5 on the rear. I am pleased with the tire size.
A thought for the person that does not belong to FMCA. The savings from the FMCA Tire program will more than pay for the Membership.
