Well on with our journey and thought we had this figured out as the awning was binding the rear slide and when we relieved that tension could get it to move for the last couple of stops we have made.
Now we have it out only about 3" and there is no power to get it back in...grrrr... any recommendations other than pulling the mattress off and checking in there. I also have pulled my back out, go figure.

Any help appreciated.

Corky, we don't have any info on your coach, model/year which might help.
If you have an older coach the problem can often be the Rocker Switch you push to extend and retract the Slide.
If you pull the Switch out there are three contacts: One is Power, One Extend and One is Retract. First start by pushing hard with your thumb across the Rocker Switch to see if it making good contacts.

Corky,

On my '05 Inspire the rear slide is electric and has a breaker/fuse in the elec panel box along with the spade type fuses for other things. Mine is located behind a cabinet door across from the fridge. If it overheats it will "pop" and then reset as it cools down...or it may need replacement.
