This event was just amazing.... One of the things I truly loved was the friendliness of everyone... As a single, this was especially helpful and welcoming for me...The event was beautifully planned and organized, food was outstanding, surroundings were beautiful, and the entertainment was wonderful and appropriate for all to enjoy. Nine regional Country Coach clubs and the two international Country Coach clubs were invited to contribute to a monthly newsletter the Country-Coach-Owners Yahoo Group would post. We realize that the clubs usually have their own websites, but this consolidated newsletter will allow them to quickly identify "happenings" and pointers for you to their events.
We had input this month from two clubs:

--------- Country Coach Friends Incorporated ------------ NEWS FROM COUNTRY COACH FRIENDS INCORPORATED Second Annual CCFI Friendship Rally Raises $9600 for Food Banks! The sold-out July 24-28, 2012 CCFI Second Annual Country Coach Friendship Rally brought 170 highline motorcoach owners to the Junction City Oregon community for a week of rally fun. During the rally this generous group donated $9,600 dollars to charity, namely Junction City Local Aid and God's Storehouse in Harrisburg. Last year the rally attendees donated over $8,000. Many of these 170 motorcoachers are lingering on in the community spending time and discretionary monies in the south Willamette Valley and throughout Oregon. The annual event which will return to Oregon for the 3rd Annual CCFI Friendship Rally in 2013. Due to CCFI's accelerated member growth rate, other Friendship Rally venues in Eugene and Albany areas are being explored for next year's rally site.
Next on the Rally Agenda is the Sept 16-21 FALL RALLY in Petoskey, Michigan. George and Josie Shallbetter, who have been Country Coachers for decades will be hosting the event. George serves on the CCFI Board as the Midwest VP. An excursion cocktail cruise on Lake Michigan, followed by an optional dinner at a nearby restaurant, as well as an optional ferry trip to Mackinac Island with lunch at the Grand Hotel are being planned. While on the Island you may want to take a carriage tour of the island (there are only service vehicles on the island). Public transportation on the island is either bicycle or horse and carriage, plus there are plenty of shopping opportunities. Some other side trips may include the Harbor Springs Vineyards and Winery or tour of Castle Farms. In the resort you will enjoy breakfast every morning with wonderful evening meals and an open fire pig roast the final evening at the pool. There will be two nights of local onsite entertainment. This is one of the most elegant RV Resorts in the Country and a great time of year to be there.
