LP leak detector chips repeatedly after house battery disconnect switch is turned back on. After resetting the leak detector the chirping stops and seems to function properly after that. Is this normal for the leak detector to go off every time the battery disconnect switch is turned back on?

Yes, this is normal. When power is lost (disconnect switch or other) the LP detector must be reset. When it chirps, LP will not flow.

Elton:
Yes it is normal for the LP Detector to chirp when it is turned off or the 12v power is lost.

My wife turned the power off to the coach and the LP Detector shut off. No chirping. I've tried to reset the sensor, to no avail. I'm going to turn the gas on and then turn it off to see if it helps reset it. Thanks, John/Jackie 03 Allure 30951

John it takes several seconds for chirping to stop once you have turned it off and then back on. Let off your water heater and frig will not work on gas.
