Any CC owners with Onan 8000 watt genset have it blow up immediately upon start up with no load. I
mean immediately, two revolutions of the engine and pow!!!!!!! The engine is alright but the fan the
generator, controller etc have physically disintegrated. With debris all over the floor of the unit? Hours of use 860.

Hi All,
Anyone have any suggestions on how to re-set/turn-on/etc a Norcold refrigerator after it was knocked
out when the 50 amp circuit break popped? I here in Las Vegas, where it is extremely hot right now,
and the circuit breaker "popped" on 50 amp on the outside electrical post.
Electrical post faces into the
sun and it appears I had too much of a load on the system - 2 air conditioners and two tvs were on (I was programming the tvs).
The circuit breaker popped and everything on the coach went out. I res-set the circuit breaker and
reduced the load on the system and all things came back on except the Norcold refrigerator. I checked
the circuit breaker in the cabinet by the bathroom and it was okay.
Is there any other place I should look? In the front bay on the driver's side?
Any help would be much appreciated ...
Rick

Sounds like the glue holding the magnets got water soaked, from lack of use, and let go. Common problem, very expensive fix. Buddy just had this same issue. Check different shops for price of repair. Some much higher then others. The recommendation to run gen set for 1 hr per month at half load is to keep this from happening. Why Onan used a water based glue is a thing to wonder about. Fixing is about half price or less of a complete new unit. Gong on what my buddy found out on his repair. One can buy a lot of fuel for this repair cost. Others should take note and RUN the gen sets as recommended.
