We are looking at the Country Coach Intrigue older models (2000-2003) 40 ft coaches. I was wondering if I should stay away or look at any specific years and floor plans.
Also was wondering if anyone has ever made any inspection sheets to use while looking at Coaches.

Thanks,

Hope to be a Country Coach in the near future.

Don

We have an '03 Intrigue - 40' with tag and 2 slides. It is the 'Suite Sensation' floor plan. It originally had a 'J' couch which we removed in favor of a recliner. We completely love it. It is very livable (we have spent as long as 14 months in it) and is the best galley layout I've ever seen in a coach. It's a pleasure to drive and for a motor home, the maintenance hasn't been bad.

Don, the good news is the Radiator CC used in Coaches of these years was a copper/brass with steel tanks rather than the often failing aluminum radiator they started using in 2004.
Bad news is Cummins was using their often failing CAPS (Cummins Accmulator pump system) High Pressure Fuel Pump which was replaced in mid to late 2004 with their Common Rail system. Monaco was subject to these same issues....both failures are in the neighborhood of $5,000.

Can you upgrade to the common rail system? From the CAPS.

Larry, I don't know as there may be other design upgrades that went along with their move to the Common Rail fuel injection system. If so I would expect it would be very costly.

To really know, I suggest calling Cummins HotLine 800-343-7357
