I have an unusual problem in that when I tap the brake pedal the cruise control no longer cuts off. No problem using the switch on the console.
The schematics refer to a switch S3 but I have not found it on the drawing. Is this a mechanical device or a air pressure activated device? Where might it be located. This is a new problem starting at around 136,000 miles. Any help will be appreciated.

James,

Have you checked to see if your brake lights are working? I believe my cruise release triggers when the brake lights come on. My brake light switch operates from air pressure and its located in the electrical bay underneath the driver.

Hi James, Our switches(3) are mounted on the back wall of the compartment under the driver. They are air operated, it should be the smaller of the 3? Hope this helps....Skip 2002 Intrigue 11329
