I am a Wash. State resident with a MH. Have not heard of a required omission test. Is it something new.

John I wonder if replacing emission with omission was a Freudian Slip according to the dictionary the meaning is--- A slip of the tongue in which a word that the speaker was subconsciously thinking about is substituted for the one that he or she meant to say.--- Just being humorous !! If you haven't done a test , if one is required, sometimes ignorance is the best plea I E you may not want to know

It is required for diesels if you live in Clark or King Counties. Diesels with a GW under 6000 pounds and newer than 2007 are excluded.
Happy to have home base in Skagit County.

Just a slip of spell check and poor vision. It did not like my version of emission. Still wonder about the mentioned requirement.

John Drebick,
I just checked the DMV web..see following quote.
Who Needs to Be Tested
Hybrid vehicles that get 50 mpg or better are exempt from emissions testing. But emissions testing is required for all other gasoline and diesel vehicles between five and 25 years old that are registered in the following Washington counties:
Clark
King
Pierce
Snohomish
Spokane
Your car will need to be retested every other year. If it's your turn, your registration renewal notice will indicate that you need an emissions inspection in order to renew.
Also in King Co. my RTA (regional transit authority) tax added $339. dollars to my license tabs for a 7 year old motorhome.

We were at the emisions station for over an hour. This did not count any line time but time in the building. They had no idea how to handle the rv and i counted 6 people working on it at one time with 2 managers trying to enter data. They showed us as a 12 liter engine and they couldnt get there machines to calibrate. I talked to kenworth nw today and have an apointment for wed. They can do the emision test there and will put the coach of the computer to check it out and make sure any software updates are current. The cost will be 150 including test and even if i fail the 150 will qualify for an exemption. In two years i will just go to them and go for the sure thing. A note for washington units is you need to go to a shop registered withthte state to use the exemption waiver.

Update
Had the engine looked at today by the cat guys and their were several software updates. I think he said their were 4 total. Still not done with the emision issue.
