Just replacing batteries so looking at the Xantrex settings, in particular capacity. Along with all of us I have a domestic bank and a chassis bank, the latter charged via a Blue Seas Combiner in my case, some may have an Echo charger which does the same. So when setting capacity do you set the domestic banks total or the domestic bank and the chassis bank combined total? Interested in response as this is considered by Xantrex an important setting.

Michael

Find out what you house Battey mfg. Wants the charge voltage to be and set the Xantrex to that setting.

The echo charger takes 13.25 vdc from the house battery to maintain the starting Battery.

Hope this helps

Bill, This is not a voltage question! In the setup using the remote panel one can, and indeed has to, set the total amps of the bank. I suspect this is for the charger to calculate the transition point. My question is do you set that at the size of the main bank, or together with the chassis bank? I have of course got a question into Xantrex but past experience tells me that it will be 2 weeks before they bother to answer and then it will be the answer to a question I did not ask? So does anyone know the answer to this?
