Title: Great Trip

Just got back from a month long trip that was great. It was so nice to not have things breaking, malfunctioning and just not working right. I had one little thing happen and that was the knob on the stove top broke. I had to buy 5 of them because the company had a $20 minimum and they were $4 each.
One park we stayed at on this trip said they held Big Rigs and could handle a 45' Quad slide no problem. I had to back into a spot where I missed the other units awnings by inches and when I opened my slides it was right up to the paint line that designated my spot. No awnings for me and only 30 amps but it was fun and the neighbors were great.
Now I need to find two plastic caps for my Girard awning channels. They blew off somewhere two or three trips back.
Was supposed to have left yesterday for a 3 week trip up through Utah and into Colorado but I had some things come up at home so not going which is sad. I was looking forward to it.
It is so nice when everything works like it is supposed to for a change. It is a little overwhelming to check this forum after a month instead of daily and see all of the issues we all have.

Is it OK to tell us the park?

Sorry to take so long in answering Robert, we were off again and I don't check this forum or take a computer with me when I travel most of the time.
It was Mammoth Mountain RV park on the paved side. I had reserved a spot on the dirt side which has full hookups and a lot more room but we arrived a few days early and there weren't any of those sights available.
The bathrooms and showers are OK on the "paved" side of the park, but they are better on the "dirt" side of the park. There is only 30 amp service on the "paved" side and some of the spots have 50 amp service on the "dirt" side.
It is real close to things in Mammoth and you can walk to several stores and restaurants from the park.

I would stay there again on the dirt side.

Hello Mark;

I read the rest of the thread but did not see a reply on you Girard Awning Caps. Did you ever find a source for them? I need the same.

Thank you;

Mike

I got mine from Girard, Girardsystems.com/rv. Price was inexpensive, but the crooks charged me $16.75 to mail me a 4oz. item. They have promised to refund the excess charges 2 times, but no luck. Get a shipping price before ordering.

Girard Awnings called today 1 hour after my posting and issued a credit that I have they have been going to issue for 3 weeks. Guess they are a good company afterall.
