Members,

Over time the Glendinning cable reel had become more and more aggravating on retraction. First it needed some push, then it needed lots of push and finally it all but quit. The motor would run but the cable didn't move. I had previously adjusted the adjustment screw but to no avail. I finally gave in and ordered a new main gear and series of rollers. I disassembled the entire thing only to find that the gear was in fine shape. When the new rollers came in I found that they were much larger that the originals. Long story short, I replaced the gear (afterall I paid for it) and all the rollers. It now works without hesitation. The point of this post is to advise that if you are having trouble order the rollers. Replacing the old ones is an easy exercise whereas replacing the gear is a lot more complicated. So,I should have posted this some time ago but here it is. Any questions you can post or email or call.
