I have just noticed that next to my engine bay light switch is a rotary switch can anyone tell me what this is for? Please?

It is an "extension cord reel"....unhook the retainer clip and pull the light out , the cord will follow. Use the rotary handle to reel it back in.

Well I never thought of that! Thanks Denis. Could not find any reference in the manual!
