Hope I can ask a question about about Destin/ Mexico Beach area of Florida. Unsure if only questions posted need to be mechanical or parts issues. Was able to get time off from work last minute. Would like to go to this area possibly for a week. Not pulling a toad, just want to go somewhere nice and setup and enjoy the beach. Open to any suggestions, wife just says needs to be nice.

The one that gets the best review on www.rvparkreviews.com is Destin RV Beach Resort. Read the reviews first however. Pool wasn't cleaned back in June.

Re: [Country-Coach-Owners] Destin Fl RV ParkWe've stayed 3 times at Camping on the Gulf, and since you're interested in being near the beach, this is pretty close. If you didn't have dogs, you could actually be parked so next to the sand beach that it looks as if those coaches are actually on the beach. It is a nice park. We have dogs, so we weren't on the beach either.

We enjoy Topsail State Park Campground which is a very nice park. It is located just east of Sandestin on Hwy 30A. The beach is approx.1/4 mile from the main park but an easy walk or the park provides a shuttle which runs every 30 minutes. The beach is very secluded so you don't have to deal with so many tourist. It is 1000 percent better than Camping on the Gulf Campground.

Another vote here for Topsail Hill State Park. It must be the nicest state park in the US. It was built by a private fellow who subsequently sold it to the state of FL. Apparently his son was going to run it and died and the father decided to sell it to the State. If you don't have a toad , it is not really all that close to anything else of consequence, so I would really suggest to take the toad. The beach is gorgeous and there is at least 2 miles of uninterrupted - with condos, waterfront. Beautiful place and one of our favorites.
