Title: Battery Question

i Have 3 8D wet cell Batteries 1 start & 2 House. 1 house battery is very hot about about 40 to 50 degrees higher when checking with a infrared thermometer. is the battery bad or is this a charger problem? 2002 Intrigue.

Sounds like you have a shorted cell in the battery. If it were constantly dumping more amps into the battery then i would say its the charger. Try disconnecting the hot battery from the circuit and see how the other one does. I had to replace one of my batteries because one was hot to the point that it was boiling.

You have a bad battery. If it was a charger problem, both batteries would have the same symptoms. You should remove the bad one from the coach before you have real problems.
