The viewing of the side and back cameras seem to be erratic. I cannot consistently switch between views. Sometimes the rear camera will not display and other times one of the side cameras will not display. Has anyone had this problem and if so how did you fix it? It is driving me nuts! I just hate erratic problems.

YES, Gary, do I know about it. (have an 05 Magna 630) I solved it partially.
Here is what I had, what I did and what I am going to do.
What I had was:
Driving forward = blank monitor ( message displayed "illigal etc stuff") Driving forward side camera's, when turning signal ON= all working perfect.
Driving backwards=monitor working perfect.
Drove me nuts because I was used monitoring the tow while driving.
Here is what I did:
I studied the manual from the pioneer AV 4 I think it was page 212 ( manual not on hand at this time) Put the pioneer in the mode where I can press the camera display.
Start the engine, put it in Reverse gear, press the selection on the monitor to GND.
Done
That is what I thought. Well it wasn't, but for now I can live with it.
I have monitor on tow when driving.
I do not have monitor when backing up, but my navigator has the 2 way radio.
And after turning on the turning signal, those camera's work for 1 second only and than the monitor turns blank.
I can live with that because on the Revolution I had I did not have side camera's.
Here is what I am going to do.
Talked with Butch Williams at Fountain RV in Lakeland FL ( former CC service specialist), he said he can fix that with 1 wire, 1 diode and 20 minutes.
So when I go in line with the snow birds this December I will stop in Lakeland.
Hope this helps

Gary,
I've had a similar problem before with my rear camera. In my case it was a loose connection at the switching box. On my 06 Magna, the video boxes are located directly behind the speedometer. You have to tilt the steering wheel toward you all the way and remove the dash section holding the speedometer. To remove the dash gently pull at the bottom and lift it away at the top. Once removed the video control boxes are stacked on top of each other right in the front. Open the Pioneer video screen and turn on the cameras with the switch on the dash. Start moving the cables around the video boxes to see if it changes what's on the Pioneer screen. I found one the cables loose and pushed it back in. Problem solved.
