Has any one had problems with slides on an 03 Magna intermittedly not working? Sometimes they go in/go out and othertimes it takes several tries. We've had several techs take a look but have as yet to find the cause. HWH Reset button will make them operate sometimes and sometimes not.
Any input/suggestions?
Thanks,
Jerry

We've had this problem intermittently with the BR slide and discovered that the hyd pump does not run. To get the pump to run, I have the bride hit the opposite switch on the LR slide while I hold the RETRACT button in the BR. Works every time so far...

To clarify, if the LR slide is out, the bride hits the extend button. This gets the pump running without moving the LR slide. All the pump pressure is directed to retracting the BR slide.

I have a 2000 Magna 5912 and have experienced the problem. When I pushed the button to deploy the slideout it would go maybe 1 inch then stop.
I found that by jumping the solenoid on the side of the hydraulic pump unit it would deploy normally. I decided that the next test would be the switch in the control panel. I shorted the "out" pins and the room deployed normally. This indicated that the switch in the control panel was bad.
Got one from Oregon Motorcoach Center. The parts guy did not know for sure if they had it, but Vern the tech support guru knew exactly where it was on the shelf!
Hope this helps!

I had a similar problem last December. One slide would not go in or out. The problem was a bad ground. Vern Huber at OMC diagnosed the problem on the phone and had me put a jumper on the #21 wire to the grounding stud in the bay. That allowed the slide to operate. Vern also said in is important NOT to drive with the jumper on.
Good luck,
