After reading several posts about what appears to be good and/or bad batteries.
I'm going to have mine checked. They said that I need to bring the batteries to them 100% charged and they will put a load on them overnite and then recharge them back up to 100%. they will tell me if I have good or bad batteries. My question is....if I leave the coach plugged into power during this 2 day period, could I damage anything or should I just shut everything down and wait until I get them back or new batteries if they are bad.

Dave,

If I were to take all me batteries out I would probably turn the battery disconnects off and shut the coach down. Without a battery I know I could not open my steps.
But, I doubt I would take those heavy batteries to anyone. I should think any battery shop could load test while still in place. I know Interstate can do it.
If they are original they are probably due for replacement. One option is to fully charge them. Then one at a time after charging, disconnect one and test with a 12 volt meter. Let that battery set for a few days and check again. I would think a bad battery would test low after sitting a few days. I could be wrong but I don't think a bad battery will hold a full charge. You can test the rest the same way.
If I have one bad battery I still replace both unless one is just bad from the start. I think I am on my third set now.
