I have a set of upper cabinets that run along both sides of the living area. They are located right above the sofas. There is recessed lighting on the bottom of these cabinets. I would like to run some wiring in the space between the (false) cabinet floor and the bottom of the cabinet. Does anyone know how to remove the carpeted cabinet floor or some other way to gain access to this space?

Yes I have done this so I could replace the rope lighting. First take up the carpeting and you will find screws there, take them out and lift the board and you will have access to what you want.

Thanks Charlie (and Kevin). Just got around to this yesterday. The carpet was held down by some very small staples and the screws were there just like you said.
