I am trying to repair an electric door awning on our 2006 Country Coach allure. The awning is a Colorado Carefree door awning. The motor quit and there appears to be no way to get into the unit.
Carefee wants $265.00 for the end cap and they will give you the motor for free. They will not sell the cap. You have to purchase the whole unit.

Robert,
Several years ago my motor went out. The replacement motor is different and needs a new cover. I know because Buddy Gregg in the Dallas area tried to fit the new motor with the old end cap and it would not fit.

The motor is expensive I changed mine out in July after it failed with the awing out!! Had to do 1000 miles home with it wire tied back. The motor is different, the original was made in France and the new one is from Asia I think, but watch out for setting it up. I would suggest you connect it up play with it out of the tube as the end stop settings can be confusing if one is already at the limit when you get it, as mine was.

Thank you for your response. I was hoping that I could find the replacement motor. I have learned that the motor is the same as some auto door window operners.
