The Fuel Gauge on my 2007 Magna has stopped working, it only shows full. Anyone else experienced a similar problem? What was the cause?

Thanks

Hi Orlan,

We have had to replace the sending unit in the fuel tank twice in the 7 years we have owned our Allure. It is a fairly easy thing to do if you can get to the tank. We have to crank the tires hard to the left.

We bought the second one last year from CC in Oregon.

Hi Orlan,

We recently replaced our broken sending unit. In order to get the best match..........fuel tanks can very within the model during the same year..........you'll need to send your original sender to Rocky Gaines at Transfer Flow in Chico, CA. Rocky's phone number is 800-442-0056, extension 150. Rocky's email is rgaines@... (rgaines@...)
They manufactured the senders for CC. Rocky is a very knowledgeable guy. CC originally contacted Transfer Flow with the model of my coach and received the incorrect sending unit. So CC put me in direct contact with Rocky. When I knew that I would not be driving my coach for a couple of weeks, I sent my original sending unit to them. They replaced the little sending unit at the bottom of the assembly and returned it to me. It was a easy change......just four screws held the unit in on the top of the fuel tank. ALSO, this was the most cost effective solution to my problem versus a whole new unit.

Even though I had the correct unit, before I took the old one out & I carefully calculated how much fuel was in the tank. Once I got the updated unit back, I still had to bend the float arm slightly in order to get a very accurate reading from the unit.

It has worked great.

Good luck,
Den

Hi,

I noticed you have a coach similar to mine and might be able to help me with mine. I have a 2000 model affinity tag C-12 #5773. My problem is I have a sys link 2000 with a #1 & #2 battery buttons and I'm not sure which button is for what. I have 2 8D batteries for the chassis and 4 of the same for the house. The books I have for the coach are misleading and don't explain it well.

? The no 1 is the "house" batteries and the No 2 is the chassis. Unless the engine is running or you have a switch between the banks, the 2000 will not charge the chassis batteries. Oh I forgot, there is a device between them that charges the chassis batteries at about 1/2 volt lower that the house batteries if it works. Mine doesn't and I use one of the boost switches to charge the chassis.

Hello

I have the link 2000 controller for my Freedom 25 Inverter which I installed myself as an upgrade.

I assigned Battery #1 as the house battery and Battery #2 as the chassis battery.

The system is more useful for the house battery if it works correctly. (Mine does not and Xantrex agreed.)

To determine which battery is associated with which button, disconnect the negative cable from either the house or chassis battery.

Then look at the meter.

Whichever button still shows a volt reading will identify which battery is connected to it by process of elimination.

Can you turn one off and see what goes off?
