I recently replaced all of my 34 ceiling recessed light bulbs with LED bulbs. The old halogen bulbs got so hot and drew a lot of juice. If you drive with them on they tend to vibrate the filament and burn out quickly. The new LED bulbs fit the fixtures without any modifications and are a warm white giving off more light and use almost not power and remain cool to the touch. They last over 100,000 hours (forever) and give off more light. I am installing dimmers so I can control the light which is not possible with some bulbs. Also replaced my docking lights and porch lights with the LEDs for a lot more light.

I have replaced my ceiling light bulbs with LED bulbs also. I have about a dozen more light that use a different style of bulb. I haven't yet found the LED bulb to replace them, but I haven't spent much time looking for them yet. You should decide on what color of light you want. Warm white will get you about the same color as you now have. Pure white will be much whiter. I am changing to the pure white because the warm light has much more yellow in it that you don't notice until you see a pure white. I ordered the G 4 24 bulbs at less than $2.00 a bulb. Because we used to boondock most of the time I was always the "light policeman" making sure every light was cut off when we weren't using it. I can relax now because the LED bulbs use about 15 percent of the other bulbs. And, as Monty pointed out, the LEDs are much cooler reducing the possibility of fire.

What type did you use and where did you get them at what cost.

Thank you
