We've had several overhead lights go bad. So I took the tubes to the hardware store, picked up some new ones. I installed them, and they stayed on for 3 minutes. I then moved them to another source with the same problem. I checked the breaker panel and everything was good. I even tripped several to make sure.
Question, do our coaches use 12v fluorescent light bulbs? I replaced one of the two fluorescent lights under the counter with no problems. But the other one I installed new tubes in won't light.
Can someone give me some insight on this problem?

My coach uses 120 volt bulbs running on the 12 volt system. The fixture inverts the voltage up to 120 volts.
I found my fixtures failed periodically. They are made by Thin-Lite, located at 530 Constitution Ave., Camarillo CA 93012, 805-987-5021. Thin-Lite will rebuild a fixture for $25.00. Their website is: www.thinlite.com/ (http://www.thinlite.com/)
I have mailed the fixtures to Thin-Lite for repair, and have also stopped at their facility. They are very accommodating. If you stop at their Camarillo facility, they will likely rebuild their fixture while you wait.
