One cell in each battery is leaking although the caps are tight. What causes this? All three 8D batteries were replaced about two and a half years ago. Thanks! Janie 2002 intrigue 11342

Janie, when you say leaking, do you mean wet around the caps? This is caused by excessive gassing or over filling the cells or both. Usually nothing to worry about if electrolyte levels are high. Just fill to well cover the plates, but well below the opening.....Skip 2002 Intrigue #11329
