I hope I do not upset anybody, but has anyone gone to Amsterdam to see the Ann Frank Museum. The question is do you have any suggestions where to stay, everything seems so very expensive.

Stan,

Several years ago we took a cruise that left from Amsterdam We got there early and stayed at a small hotel called the Ambassade. Beautiful little place, extremely clean and quite reasonable. Right of a canal and a couple of blocks from the flower market.

I'm sure you can Google it.

We stayed at the Park Plaza Victoria which is right across the street from the train station. (You take a train from the airport to the city.) You avoid taxis this way. We did not go to the Anne Frank Museum, but as I recall it is in the vicinity of this hotel.
