When I start coach my voltage fluctuates on alternator from 13 to 14 volts back and forth at a steady rate. Any ideas?

Hi Gary, You may be seeing the intake air heater grids coming online then cycling off as the engine warms, depends on cold start temp. This may cycle 3 times minute on our 370 ISL Cummins for about 2-3 minutes....Skip 2002 #11329

On My 99 Allure does the same thing all the time, I my other life I was a Tech for Cat, The Alternator should be removed and sent to the Alt. Rebuild shop att to your servive order ther Hunting Issue! The voltage Regulator most likly is the issue but heavey driving in the rain also is hard on the Alt. I have lived with this since I bought the coach back in 08. Also a member suggests the Manifold heater cycling use a DC Amprobe to verify this! Remember your Alternator may also send a signal to your Dash Tach like mine! Please keep us posted! Ken 99 Allure 30356.

Does it fluctuate on start up only and then settle down after a minute or so? Then it is probably the intake manifold heater cycling.
Does it fluctuate all the time at idle? If so, you have an alternator or voltage regulator that is going bad. This is the problem I had a couple of years ago.
