Owners,

I have a 2000 CC Allure and want to know if I should use the transmission dip stick or panel reading to determine is I need to add fluid. My panel reading shows 7 quarts low while the dip stick shows a more normal reading.

Thanks ,

John,

Allison says to trust the panel before the dip stick.

John:

Make sure the engine temp. is at least 180 degrees or more for an accurate panel reading.

John,

Be sure the temp is up and the coach is level. Allison claims this is the most accurate way to check trans. level.

Coach needs to be at running temp 170° should start the count down from 9 and work its way to 0 after that it should say oil level high or oil level low then it should tell you by how many either way. Hope this helps...
