Michael,

We have a 2000 Allure with the original Smart Tire senders that were in it when we purchased it used in 2002. All six senders still work just fine, so... apparently ours have lasted at least 10 years, maybe 12 if they were installed when the coach was new. I don't plan to replace them until they expire. When thay happens I will just continue to check manually until able to replace them.
I check tire pressure before each trip and my tires don't leak. Other than when the tires were replaced I have only needed to add air a couple of times in ten years. The originals were Continentals and when they aged I replaced them with Goodyear G670 RV. Both brands were fine however the Goodyear's developed a funny wear pattern at about 20,000 miles, apparent very common with them. The dealer wanted to replace the fronts with Michelins but we decided to just move them to the rear, after all they will age out before wearing out so we might as well use them up.

Hope this helps,

Jim Hedlund
